Description

A hand-cast bronze medallion, its face struck with an old compass-rose device and its reverse left plain enough to take an engraving of initials or a date. Each piece comes from the same small workshop casting, then finished by hand with a trace of rowan ash worked into the surface before the final polish — a small, deliberate ritual repeated on every medallion rather than a decorative afterthought. Rowan has long been the traveler's tree of European folklore, planted beside gates and thresholds and carried on journeys as a ward against getting lost, whether the road in question was a literal one or something more figurative. This amulet draws on that same tradition, made for roads that fork strangely or a journey that feels uncertain before it begins. Wear it on the waxed cord provided, long enough to sit beneath a collar and out of sight, or thread it onto a chain of your own. Some carry it loose in a coat pocket instead, closer to a worry stone than a pendant. Sold as a curiosity — no medical or scientific claims are made. Each medallion is cast in solid bronze and hand-finished individually, so weight and surface will vary slightly, piece to piece, in the way of anything made rather than molded to a uniform standard.
