Description

Ocimum sanctum — tulsi, holy basil — grown in the temple courtyards and household gardens of Uttar Pradesh, where it is planted as much for reverence as for use. The whole aromatic leaf is reduced to a concentrated 10:1 extract and packed into a small capsule, mild and faintly clove- scented, carrying the plant's character without the volume of tea or raw leaf. Tulsi is grown beside nearly every household shrine in India, tended daily and treated less as a crop than as a member of the household. It is traditionally taken to support an even, unhurried mind and the body's steadiness through the ordinary pressures of a demanding day, a use recorded in Ayurvedic texts for centuries before the modern capsule existed. Folk belief holds that no house that grows tulsi comes to harm. One capsule in the morning or afternoon, up to twice daily, whenever the day starts to feel tight at the edges rather than as a fixed daily ritual. Holy basil supports resilience to everyday stress; it does not treat anxiety or any diagnosed mental health condition, and those are best addressed with a qualified professional rather than a capsule. Extracted at 10:1, 60 vegan capsules per bottle. A small daily habit, borrowed from a much older one.
