Description

A small wooden cabinet of nine drawers, each pulled open by a tiny brass knob and lined with a strip of felt, each holding one quiet marvel and one handwritten paper label in a plain hand: a fern fossil pressed flat in pale stone, a chip of iron meteorite heavier than its size suggests, a shark's tooth turned entirely to stone, a curl of pale birch bark, and other specimens gathered without any theme beyond genuine curiosity. This is a wunderkammer in miniature, the cabinet of curiosities that furnished the studies of naturalists and collectors long before museums existed to formalize what belonged where. Its drawers held whatever the world offered that seemed worth wondering over — a fossil, a mineral, a bone, a feather — sorted by nothing more disciplined than the collector's own attention. Ours follows that spirit rather than any modern taxonomy. Open one drawer at a time, and read the label before touching what is inside. Best kept on a shelf or desk where it can be opened idly rather than displayed shut. Sold as a curiosity — no medical or scientific claims are made. Contents vary slightly between cabinets since each is hand-assembled and hand-labeled; the cabinet itself weighs roughly 1.2 kilograms. Nine small wonders, kept exactly where wonder belongs.
