About this book

Description

In the Himalayas, Xanthoxylum oil is used for respiratory issues and for problems with the throat. Our distiller also recommends it for toothache and for digestive issues. Its linalool content indicates that it would be soothing and healing for infections or injuries.

We have seen it recommended for digestive issues, a queasy stomach, menstrual cramps, and muscle spasms. I think it would be very useful for the aches and pains that can attend a virus or the flu.

Some authorities recommend it as an anti-allergin, perhaps blended with Rosalina or Niaouli.

Emotionally, it seems both calming and grounding, although not sedating. A lovely gentle oil when diffused.

We find the aroma very pleasant, green, with a hint of spice.

Safety: No known contraindications.
