Tagetes (Marigold).

Description

Flowers of the common French or African marigold are the source of this oil. (Don’t confuse it with Calendula, another marigold oil with very different properties!)

English aromatherapist and educator Shirley Price says it is effective against fungal infections of the foot and against candida (and that it deters houseflies!). Vintage aromatherapist Valerie Worwood recommends it for treating corns, calluses, and other disorders of the foot. It should not be used in pregnancy or with small children.

• Help wounds, skin infections like Staph, and boils to heal
• Treat athlete’s foot and other fungal infections
• Soothe calluses, corns, and bunions
• Relief from cough due to respiratory illness
• Stop insect bites from itching and burning
• Eradicate lice and bed bugs
• Repel mosquitoes and houseflies

Also used as an effective pesticide spray for crops.

SHELF LIFE: Approximately 1 to 2 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life.
