Description

Small hand-rolled incense cones bound with true dragon's blood resin, the deep crimson sap drawn from Dracaena and Daemonorops trees rather than any creature of legend — the name is a market invention centuries old, but it has stuck regardless. Each cone is dense and dark red- brown, rolled and dried in small batches rather than machine-pressed, and burns with a warm, sweet, faintly spiced smoke closer to amber than to anything floral. Dragon's blood resin has colored varnish, dyed cloth, and scented incense since Roman times, when it was already traded across the Mediterranean under names that hinted at exotic and slightly dangerous origins. Folklore across several traditions holds the resin to carry a potency of its own, and it was often added to charms, inks, and candles believed to need extra strength behind them, a reputation that outlasted every explanation of where the resin actually came from. Light the tip of a cone until it catches, then set it in a heatproof dish or on a bed of sand or ash to burn down slowly on its own. Twenty cones come boxed together, small enough to burn one at a time without overwhelming a room. A small-batch, resin-bound incense, sold as a curiosity for its scent and its history — no medical or scientific claims are made.
