About this book
Description
Marge has been craving a Yuzu oil that sings to her, and this one has burst into symphony. For years we have searched for an organically grown Yuzu oil with no success. Finally this year we found one, and after testing are delighted to make it available to you.
This distilled Yuzu oil is the most floral of all of our Citrus offering, with floral and sweet, almost balsamic notes upon dry-down. Yuzu is the perfumer’s choice for a more extravagant citrus top note with its bright complexity. Aromatic levels unfold from tart grapefruit to sweet mandarin. Many yuzu oils on the market are an actual blend unlike this pure specimen we have been blessed with. When blending, Yuzu is much longer lasting than other Citrus oils so adding it to a blend should extend the “throw” of other citrus oil.
And, for the icing on the cake, Yuzu oil is not photo-toxic so may safely be added to skincare products. Valerie Worwood especially recommends its use in treating stress-induced skin conditions.
Jennifer Pace Rhind says that Yuzu Oil is both analgesic and anti-inflammatory. It is also a broncholytic and may prove useful in anti-asthma blends. It is also a powerful stress reliever and anti-anxiety, bringing a sense of well-being.
Side note: A Japanese tradition – on the winter Solstice a hot bath with whole or sliced Yuzu fruits added to the water is said to bring a feeling of well-being and abundance
Enjoy!
Blends well with: Rosemary, Cedarwood, Lavender, Sandalwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, and other citrus oils
Safety: Non-phototoxic, no known contraindications
Shelf life: 1-2 years. Keep in dry, dark place. Refrigerate for extended shelf life. [With proper storage, pure essential oils don’t have a “hard-set” expiration date. Over time, however, essential oils can oxidize, deteriorate and gradually lose their therapeutic value and aromatic quality.]
