A complete seventy-eight-card tarot — the twenty-two Major Arcana and the four suits of the Minor — illustrated in ink and deep indigo, with the waxing and waning moon threaded through the border of every card. The edges are gilt in a matte silver rather than a bright gold, and the whole deck ships in a rigid, lidded keepsake box with a small paper booklet explaining each card's traditional meaning. The tarot began, several centuries ago, as a card game played in Renaissance Italian courts, and only later acquired its present reputation as a tool of reflection and divination.
