Description

A polished drop of Baltic amber, fossil resin from a forest that fell some forty million years before the first mammals worth the name, with a small winged insect suspended perfectly at its center, caught mid-flight in sap that never let it go. The amber itself is warm gold, faintly cloudy where the resin flowed in layers, and light enough in the hand to feel almost like a warm stone rather than a mineral. Amber has been worn as a protective and warming charm around the Baltic coast since the Stone Age, older tradition and older folklore alike holding it to be a solidified fragment of sunlight, carried against cold and ill fortune. This particular piece carries something rarer still: a passenger from a vanished world, held in place since long before the Baltic Sea existed in its present form. Wear it as a pendant on a cord or chain of your own choosing, or set it upright in a small stand where the insect catches the light. Each specimen is entirely unique. Sold as a curiosity — no medical or scientific claims are made. This is a single specimen; the insect inside is unique to this exact piece and is photographed as it actually appears, not a stock image, so what arrives is precisely what is shown.
