Description

Catnip Essential oil is known as a mosquito repellant, but like our favorite SkeeterBeater, is not recommended for babies and toddlers. Enter the safe and gentle Catnip Hydrosol, a soothing and child safe repellant.

Although there is no other published research that we could find on either the oil or the hydrosol, there is reason to believe that the oil (and possibly the hydrosol) may have a calming affect on restlessness, and may help induce sleep.

And, of course, if your feline family member has inherited the Catnip loving gene… spray his favorite toy with this lovely herbal water and watch the fun.

Aromatically our first thought was “vegetative” reminiscent of freshly snapped green beans or newly hulled peas, but on second thought we got a note of Melissa, but softer and sweeter. On the skin it was closer to our Melissa hydrosol, but, again, softer.
